Professional dental cleaning
We recommend getting your teeth cleaned professionally before proceeding with the whitening process. The professional clean needs to have been done within the three weeks prior to your appointment because tartar and other deposits can have an adverse effect on the evenness of the colour. If you wish, you can have the professional clean done in our practice on the same day and the whitening can then be done immediately afterwards.
Determining your tooth colour (“before” photo)
Before we start the whitening procedure, we need to determine your current tooth colour and – if you are happy to do so – we take a “before” photo so that we can compare it with the “after” photo later on.

Applying the tooth whitening gel
The gentle-action gel is carefully applied to your teeth.

Further phases of LED light activation
This process is repeated up to four times as required.
Once the final light activation treatment has been completed – after around an hour – the whitening process is complete, and you will be able to see the full extent of the results.
