Fear of going to the dentist is not uncommon. With a lot of patience and empathy, we will help you achieve a new smile.
You are not alone! Dental phobia is a common phenomenon which affects a lot of people. We would be happy to show you that your fears are unfounded and to help you to overcome them step by step. Be brave and arrange a consultation appointment with us online! It’s very easy! We look forward to meeting you!
Arranging an appointment
The first thing that needs to be done if we are to take this journey together is something that you will have to do yourself. Be brave – even if it is really hard – and arrange an appointment in our dental practice for dental phobics! It won’t be difficult as you will get a very warm and friendly reception on the phone and will be made to feel absolutely welcome. Alternatively, you also have the option of making an appointment online.
We get to know one another
At this first appointment – and you can be sure of this – there will be no dental treatment. It will simply be a conversation during which you will have the opportunity to talk about your fears and your wishes and will be provided with information that is relevant to people suffering from dental phobia. Without using any instruments, we will simply try to get an overview of the condition of your teeth by taking a look in your mouth. If you feel comfortable with the idea, we will also take some X-rays.
Your individually-tailored treatment plan
Your treatment to restore your teeth to good health will not start until the next appointment. Depending on the patient and on our findings, this may be done over the course of several appointments, starting with the treatment that you perceive as being the least unpleasant. In this way, we can help you to gradually overcome your fears.
We give you back your happy and healthy smile
Lastly, we come to the nicest part of the treatment for dental phobics in which we address cosmetic factors – we provide you with your desired tooth restoration in the form of implants, crowns, veneers or dentures, so that you will finally be able to laugh freely again, without feeling ashamed about the condition of your teeth.

You are not alone! One in ten people suffer from dental phobia
We have experience in every type of dental phobia and can help you too!
This is a question that lots of people ask themselves. While almost all patients feel a slight sense of unease when they go to the dentist, those with dental phobia also display a range of further symptoms. For these people, the uneasy feeling can develop into extreme agitation or even panic at just the thought of a forthcoming appointment. They may break out in a sweat or start to experience palpitations and may even have attacks of dizziness. Many dental phobics report feeling nauseous, having circulation problems and experiencing severe trembling when they think about having dental treatment.
Do you recognise any of these symptoms? This is no reason to feel ashamed and definitely no reason to postpone going to the dentist for years and years. As a dental phobic, you will be made very welcome in our practice and will be given individual support. We are well acquainted with all the symptoms of dental phobia and their consequences, and we know the best way to deal with them and how to approach them with sensitivity. So there is no need to be afraid of making an appointment with us. We look forward to meeting you!
